Overview
For students with mental health problems; accessing mental health services in a timely manner is critical towards eliminating a significant barrier to their learning and future employment opportunities. This training will provide an overview of the system and how to link families with services.
Who
Special Education Teachers, General Education Teachers, School Counselors, School Social Workers, Transition Coordinators, School Administrators, School Psychologists, Paraprofessionals, Parents, Family Members. This teleconference is open to all participating MTP school projects. See listed participating MTP projects
What
Participants will
- increase their knowledge about New York State's mental health system
- learn how to access mental health services
- be able to identify community resources
