Target Audience

Individuals seeking a better understanding of vocational assessment/evaluation and its role in transition planning. Individuals responsible for providing vocational evaluation services who have no or limited background in the field.

 

Course Key Ideas

The training will explain what vocational assessment/evaluation is and what it entails. It will look at the benefits of vocational evaluation in the transitioning process.

  • Learning Styles Measures
  • Aptitude Measures
  • Physical/Manual Skill Testing
  • Evaluation Systems

 

Learner Outcomes

  • Participants will gain an understanding of the value of vocational assessment/ evaluation and its role in transition planning
  • Participants will learn what should be included in a vocational assessment
  • Participants will be introduced to tools available on the market

Depth and intensity of training will vary with length of program. Minimum of 3 hours is recommended.
